                                    Henderson Winfield Dacosta Springer.                                             (Professional cricketer with Haverfordwest 1992 - 1995) Barbados, Western Transvaal.

He qualified as a coach in 1983 and began his coaching career in Holland during 1988 form where he moved to Perth, Scotland before arriving in Haverfordwest for the start of the 1992 season.

In the four seasons he was associated with Haverfordwest he played in one winning Harrison Allen Bowl final, losing a Welsh Intermediate cup final and three consecutive championship winning sides.

His ability has never been questioned whilst his love and enthusiasm for the game is borne by the respect he gained, not only in our own club but throughout Pembrokeshire. Testament of this has been illustrated by the number by the who were attracted to the club for coaching. It was a common sight to see upward of seventy children under the thirteen learning the skills of the game from Hendy and our fellow club coaches on the Racecourse.

Hendy's professional attitude towards cricket brought our club into a new era, which has been built upon until this present day. The youngsters he nurtured so painfully are beginning to fulfil their potential in our four senior sides, many of whom now grace our first XI.

A warm welcome will always be extended to Hendy from all the people associated with Haverfordwest cricket club, even those youngsters who didn't benefit from his coaching but now benefit from the organisation that we have set up.
